The Sweet History of Marianne's
How It All Started
Marianne's Ice Cream first opened its doors in 1947. It was started by Thomas and Lenore Becker. They named the shop after their two daughters, Mary-Lee and Annie.
New Owners and More Flavors
After a few years, the shop was sold. In 1958, Sam and Dorothy Lieberman bought the ice cream shop. They loved making ice cream and ran the business for a very long time. Over 55 years, they created more than 250 different ice cream flavors!
Passing the Scoop
In 2012, Sam Lieberman decided it was time to retire. He sold the shop to Kelly Dillon and Charlie Wilcox. They continue the tradition of making amazing ice cream.
Expanding the Fun
In 2014, Marianne's Ice Cream opened a second location. This new shop is in Aptos, California, on State Park Drive. Now even more people can enjoy their tasty treats!
