Marina Rice Bader is a talented writer, director, and film producer. She is well-known for movies like Anatomy of a Love Seen (2014), Raven's Touch (2015), and Ava's Impossible Things (2016). She also helped produce Elena Undone (2010) and A Perfect Ending (2012). Marina started her own film company, Soul Kiss Films, in 2009. She is a big supporter of the LGBTQ+ community. She believes we need more films with diverse LGBTQ+ characters and hopes her work helps with this important goal.

Making Movies

Marina Bader discovered her passion for filmmaking later in life. She realized there weren't many movies that showed diverse love stories, especially for women. This made her want to create more films that truly reflected different experiences.

Because of this, Marina started Soul Kiss Films. This independent company focuses on making exciting movies that explore the experiences of women. Her first big project was helping to produce Elena Undone. Two years later, she also produced A Perfect Ending.

In 2014, Marina decided to take on even more roles. She wrote, directed, and even acted in her film Anatomy of a Love Seen. She found new ways to make and share this movie, which brought it a lot of attention. After that, in 2015, she produced and co-directed Raven's Touch with Dreya Weber.

Marina's fifth film was Ava's Impossible Things. She wrote, directed, and produced this movie, which first showed at Outfest Los Angeles in 2016. Ava's Impossible Things was special because it was the first film to get money from Vimeo's "Share the Screen" fund. This fund helps support new female filmmakers.

Marina says she always loved movies, but it took time to believe she could make them herself. She is proud to be a filmmaker now, especially as more people are talking about supporting women in the film industry. She feels she is helping to make things better.

Now, Marina is working on two new movies with her latest company, Play Big Pictures. These films will tell powerful stories from a female point of view.

About Her Life

Marina has four grown-up children. She travels a lot, but she considers Los Angeles her main home.
