Marisa Del Frate (born March 11, 1931 – died February 5, 2015) was a talented Italian actress, singer, and TV star. She became famous for her singing and acting, especially on television.

Life and Career Highlights
Born in Rome, Italy, Marisa Del Frate began her career as a model. She even took part in beauty contests! In 1957, she started singing and quickly became successful. She won the Festival di Napoli with her song "Malinconico autunno." This was a big music competition in Italy.
In 1958, Marisa sang at the Sanremo Music Festival, another very important music event. Soon after, a famous comedian named Erminio Macario chose her to be the main star, or primadonna, in his stage show called Chiamate Arturo 777. A primadonna is the leading female performer in a show. From then on, Marisa became a popular "soubrette" (a lively and charming actress/singer), an actress, and a TV presenter.
She became very well-known in 1961 because of a popular TV show called L'amico del giaguaro on RAI, which is Italy's national TV network.
Later Life and Passing
Marisa Del Frate passed away in Rome in 2015. She was 83 years old and died from cancer.
