Mark Mangini is an American sound editor born in 1956. A sound editor is like a movie magician who creates and mixes all the sounds you hear in a film. This includes everything from footsteps to explosions. Mark Mangini has worked on over 125 movies.

He is famous for winning two Academy Awards, also known as Oscars. He won for Dune in 2021 and for Mad Max: Fury Road in 2015. He shared the award for Mad Max: Fury Road with David White.

One of his most famous jobs was creating a new roar for Leo the Lion. Leo is the famous lion mascot for Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer movies. Fun fact: the roar was actually made using tiger sounds!
