Mark Romero, born on July 21, 1963, is a retired American professional wrestler. In the wrestling world, he was famous under his ring name, Mark Youngblood. He comes from a family of wrestlers, making him a "second-generation" star. His father, Ricky Romero, was also a famous wrestler.

Wrestling Career

Early Years and Tag Teams

Mark began his wrestling career in 1980. He followed in his father's footsteps, who was also his trainer. Early on, he joined Jim Crockett Promotions, a part of the National Wrestling Alliance. There, he formed a tag team with the legendary wrestler Wahoo McDaniel.

In 1985, Mark wrestled in Championship Wrestling from Florida. He teamed up with his brother, Jay Youngblood. After Jay's death, Mark formed a new tag team in 1986 with his younger brother, Chris Romero.

The Tribal Nation and The Renegade Warriors

Mark and Chris found a lot of success wrestling together. They competed in the World Wrestling Council in Puerto Rico. They also wrestled in American promotions like the Global Wrestling Federation and the United States Wrestling Association. In these places, their team was known as "The Tribal Nation."

The brothers also had a short but memorable time in World Championship Wrestling (WCW). In WCW, they were called "The Renegade Warriors." Mark decided to retire from full-time wrestling in 1999.

A Brief Return to the Ring

Even after retiring, Mark couldn't stay away from the ring completely. In 2006, he wrestled a few matches for a company in his hometown of Amarillo, Texas. The company was run by his brother, Chris.

On January 13, 2007, he made a special one-night return. He surprised everyone by defeating the champion, Thunder, to win the WTWL Championship. His family and friends celebrated with him in the ring. Mark explained that he was only back for that one match and gave up the championship title, retiring once again.
