Marsha Francine Warfield, born on March 5, 1954, is a talented American actress and comedian. She grew up in Chicago, Illinois, and graduated from Calumet High School. Marsha Warfield is widely recognized for her role as Roz Russell, a tough and no-nonsense bailiff, on the popular TV show Night Court. She played this role from 1986 to 1992 and even returned for guest appearances in the show's revival in 2023.
Warfield also starred as Dr. Maxine Douglas in the TV show Empty Nest from 1993 to 1995. Before her time on Night Court, she worked as a writer and performer on Richard Pryor Show.
Marsha Warfield has appeared in movies like D.C. Cab (1983) and Mask (1985). She also hosted her own show, The Marsha Warfield Show, for about ten months. She has been a guest star on many other television shows, including Riptide, Family Ties, Clueless, Cheers, Living Single, In Living Color, Cybill, Moesha, Smart Guy, and Touched by an Angel. Since 2021, she has a recurring role on the show 9-1-1 as Antonia "Toni" Wilson, the mother of a main character.
She is also a successful stand-up comedian. She appeared on The Comedy Shop television series. In 1979, she won the San Francisco International Comedy Competition, beating out other comedians like Dana Carvey.
