Marulan railway station is a historic train station in New South Wales, Australia. It serves the small town of Marulan. This station opened a very long time ago, on 6 August 1868. It is an important part of railway history. The station is listed on the New South Wales State Heritage Register. This means it is protected because of its special historical value.

Train Platforms and Services

Marulan station has two platforms. These are the areas where people wait for trains. It also used to have a third platform. This platform was used to park maintenance vehicles. It was removed in April 2014.

Train Services

The station is used by NSW TrainLink services. These trains run on the Southern Highlands Line. You can catch early morning and evening trains here. They travel between Sydney Central, Campbelltown, Moss Vale and Goulburn.

Station Buildings and Features

The station has a special building. It was built in 1867. This building was both a station and a home for the station master. It has a verandah, which is a covered porch. This verandah was added in 1874.

The railway platform is made of brick. It was built around 1915. There is also a timber signal box on the platform. This signal box is a small building. It was used to control the train signals. It also dates from around 1915. An overbridge road is also part of the station complex. This bridge is at the Sydney end of the station. A large weighing machine, called a weighbridge, was once here. It was used to weigh goods. It was removed before 2004.
