Mary Denisse Munive Angermüller, born on April 10, 1981, is a doctor and politician from Costa Rica. She has served as the Second Vice-President of Costa Rica since 2022. She works alongside First Vice-President Stephan Brunner and President Rodrigo Chaves Robles. Mary Munive also became the Minister of Health in 2023. Before that, she was the Minister of Sports.

Early Life and Education
Mary Denisse Munive Angermüller was born in San José, Costa Rica. This happened on April 10, 1981. Her parents moved to Costa Rica from Peru. She also has family roots from Germany. Mary grew up in a town called Tibás. She studied at the University of Costa Rica (UCR). She earned her degree there.
Her Career Journey
Teaching and Medical Work
In 2018, Mary Munive started teaching at the University of Costa Rica. She taught about family and community medicine. She is also the leader of a group for doctors. This group is called the Association of Family and Community Medicine Specialists of Costa Rica.
Joining Politics
Rodrigo Chaves Robles chose Mary Munive to be his running mate. She ran for Vice-President in the 2022 election. Stephan Brunner was also chosen as a Vice-Presidential candidate. Their team won the election. Mary Munive is a member of the Social Democratic Progress Party. She helped lead the President's team on economic matters.

Mary Munive served as the Minister of Sports. Later, she became the Minister of Health. She took on this role on May 10, 2023.
