Masaharu Suzuki (鈴木 正治, Suzuki Masaharu, born August 3, 1970) is a former Japanese football player. He was a talented defender who played for several top clubs in Japan. He also had the honor of playing for the Japan national team.

Suzuki's Club Football Journey
Masaharu Suzuki was born in Yaizu, Japan, on August 3, 1970. After finishing high school at Shizuoka Gakuen High School, he began his professional football career.
Starting with Nissan Motors
In 1989, Suzuki joined a club called Nissan Motors. This team was part of the Japan Soccer League, which was the top football league in Japan at that time. His first season was amazing! In 1989-90, Nissan Motors won three big titles in Japan: the Japan Soccer League itself, the JSL Cup, and the Emperor's Cup.
The team continued its winning streak. They won the 1990 JSL Cup and the 1991 Emperor's Cup in the following years. They also found success in Asia, winning the 1991–92 Asian Cup Winners' Cup.
Becoming Yokohama Marinos
In 1992, the Japan Soccer League changed and became a new, professional league called the J1 League. Nissan Motors changed its name to Yokohama Marinos. The team kept winning, securing the 1992 Emperor's Cup. They even won the 1992–93 Asian Cup Winners' Cup for a second time in a row!
In 1995, Yokohama Marinos won the J1 League title. This was a huge achievement, and Masaharu Suzuki was recognized for his excellent play. He was even chosen for the J.League Best Eleven, which means he was considered one of the best players in the league that year.
Moving to Nagoya Grampus Eight
In 1997, Suzuki moved to another team, Nagoya Grampus Eight. He played there for two seasons before deciding to retire from professional football at the end of the 1998 season.
Playing for Japan's National Team
Masaharu Suzuki also had the chance to play for his country. He joined the Japan national team in 1995.
His International Debut
His first game for Japan was on October 24, 1995, against the Saudi Arabia national team. He also played one more game for Japan in 1996. In total, he played two games for the national team during his career.
