Masaharu Suzuki (born August 3, 1970) is a former Japanese football player. He played as a defender. He was also a member of the Japan national team.

Playing for Clubs
Masaharu Suzuki was born in Yaizu, Japan, on August 3, 1970. After finishing high school, he started his professional football career.
He joined a club called Nissan Motors in 1989. This club later changed its name to Yokohama Marinos. In his first year, 1989-90, his team won three big titles in Japan. These were the Japan Soccer League, the JSL Cup, and the Emperor's Cup.
His team continued to win more cups. They won the 1990 JSL Cup and the 1991 Emperor's Cup. They also won the 1991–92 Asian Cup Winners' Cup in Asia.
In 1992, a new league called J1 League was started in Japan. Yokohama Marinos won the 1992 Emperor's Cup that year. They also won the 1992–93 Asian Cup Winners' Cup for the second year in a row.
In 1995, his team won the J1 League title. Masaharu Suzuki was chosen as one of the best players in the league that year. This award is called the Best Eleven.
He moved to another club, Nagoya Grampus Eight, in 1997. He played there for two years before he stopped playing professional football at the end of the 1998 season.
Playing for Japan
Masaharu Suzuki also played for the Japan national team. He made his first appearance for the national team on October 24, 1995. This game was against the Saudi Arabia team. He played for Japan in 1995 and 1996. In total, he played 2 games for his country.
