Mashiro Kazahana is a main character in the anime series My-HiME. She is a calm and smart 14-year-old girl who seems to know a lot about the world around her. In another anime called My-Otome, her name is Mashiro Blanc de Windbloom.

Mashiro first meets Mai Tokiha in a beautiful rose garden. Mai is looking for her friend Mikoto Minagi at the time. Later, Mai discovers that Mashiro is actually the chairwoman of Fuuka Academy. Mashiro understands a lot about the special powers of the Himes, and she feels a bit sad for them, as if it's her responsibility.

In the world of My-Otome, Mashiro Blanc de Windbloom is the 15-year-old queen of a place called Windbloom. She is very different from Mashiro Kazahana. This Mashiro is often loud and can get angry easily.

She really wants to be a great queen. So, she gets upset when people say she might not be the real princess. There's a story that the true princess was sent away in a small boat when she was a baby. Some people think Mashiro was just a replacement because the real princess couldn't be found. Also, Mashiro doesn't look like the past rulers of Windbloom, which makes some people wonder about her true family.
