Mathilde Weber (1829–1901) was an important German woman. She worked to make life better for women. She is known as one of the people who started the women's movement in Germany. Her main goal was to help women get a good education. She wanted them to be able to study at universities.

Mathilde Walz was born on August 16, 1829. Her hometown was Ellwangen, Germany. She later married Heinrich Weber (1818-1890).
Helping Women Get an Education
Mathilde Weber was very active in the German women's movement. This movement worked for equal rights and opportunities for women. She strongly believed that women should receive training. This training would help them get jobs. She even helped women get training for jobs like working in homes.
She started a group called the Verein für Tübinger Honoratiorentöchter. This means "Association for Tübingen Dignitary Daughters." The group helped young women from important families. It gave them a chance to learn and grow.
In 1899, the city of Tübingen honored her. They gave her the title Wohltäterin der Stadt. This means "benefactress of the city." It showed how much they appreciated her help.
Mathilde Weber passed away on June 22, 1901. She died in Tübingen, Germany.
