Mauro Entrialgo Ibarrondo was born in Vitoria, Spain, in 1965. He is a talented Spanish artist known for many things. He works as an illustrator, a musician, and most importantly, a cartoonist. Some of his most famous characters are Herminio Bolaextra, El Demonio Rojo, and Ángel Sefija.

Mauro has also written stories for other artists like Alvarortega and Calpurnio. He has written for animated shows, movies like Gente pez (2001), and TV shows. He even wrote for theater plays.

As a musician, Mauro was part of two music groups: Fat Esteban and Esteban Light.

Mauro Entrialgo's Early Life and Career

Mauro's father worked in a factory and often bought him comic books. Mauro loved to copy these comics even before he learned to read. This was how he started his journey into art.

How Mauro Entrialgo Started in Comics

Mauro published his very first comic series in a magazine called Makoki in 1982. It was titled Pastiches Show presentan. He also helped start TMEO magazine and has worked with them for free since 1987. For TMEO, he created the series Herminio Bolaextra, which was about a newspaper editor who loved parties.

After Makoki magazine closed in 1993, Mauro worked on writing for theater, movies, and TV. He also created illustrations for advertisements. In 1994, he created the series El Demonio Rojo for El Víbora magazine. That same year, he won an award for being a new and exciting artist at the Barcelona International Comic Fair. In 1995, he created another series called Alter Rollo.

In 2000, Mauro created the funny series Ángel Sefija for El Jueves magazine. This series was about everyday observations. He has also created comics and drawings for other magazines and digital newspapers.
