McSorley Hill, also known as the Bush Street Ski Jump, was a famous place for ski jumping in Red Wing, Minnesota, USA. It first opened in 1887. Skiers used this hill for many exciting jumps until the late 1920s.

The Aurora Ski Club owned and managed McSorley Hill. This ski jump had a special spot called a K-point at 30 meters. The K-point helps measure the size of a ski jump. It also shows where jumpers are expected to land. Two amazing world records in ski jumping were set right here at McSorley Hill!

World Records in Ski Jumping

McSorley Hill became famous because two new world records for the longest ski jumps were set there. A world record means someone jumped farther than anyone else in the world at that time. These records were achieved by two brothers from Norway.
