Early Life and Education

Meg Cranston was born in Baldwin, New York, in 1960. She went to college at Kenyon College in Ohio. In 1982, she earned a degree in Anthropology/Sociology. This means she studied people and how societies work.

Later, she earned a Master of Fine Arts (MFA) degree. She got this special art degree from the California Institute of the Arts in 1986. She also studied art in The Netherlands for a short time.
