Merwan Rim is a French actor and singer. He was born on July 13, 1977, in Sarcelles, France. Merwan is well-known for his roles in famous musicals. These include Le Roi Soleil and Mozart, l'opéra rock. He also has a successful career as a solo singer.

Merwan Rim's Early Life and Career
Merwan Rim started learning musical instruments when he was 17 years old. He taught himself how to play. He soon realized he had a special talent for music. This led him to decide he wanted to be a full-time musician.
Becoming a Professional Musician
In September 2000, Merwan left his communication studies at Paris 13 University. He joined Alice Dona Studios. This is a special school for people who want to become professional performers. Just nine months later, Merwan got a role in a big musical.
First Big Role: Les Dix Commandements
Merwan was cast as Ramses in the musical Les Dix Commandements. At first, he was a backup for another actor. But after a year, he took over the main role.
New Musicals and Growing Fame
In 2004, Merwan joined another musical called Spartacus. He was a backup for the character David. He didn't get to play David, but he did help save a show once. He stepped in at the last minute to replace another actor.
Soon after, Merwan was chosen for the musical Le Roi Soleil. He played François, Duke of Beaufort. This show started in Paris on September 22, 2005. It ran for two seasons. Even though he wasn't the main star, Merwan became very popular. Fans loved his kind and a bit shy personality.
Solo Music and Collaborations
In 2007, Merwan recorded two songs with Canadian singer Marilou. One song was "C'était écrit" for Marilou's Canadian album. The other was "Danser sur la lune" for her European album. After Le Roi Soleil ended, Merwan started touring France. He performed with his own musicians to promote his future solo album.
Joining Mozart L'Opéra-Rock
On June 1, 2009, Merwan announced exciting news. He had been cast in the musical Mozart L'Opéra-Rock. He played two roles: L'Aubergiste and the Clown Démoniaque. He was also a backup for the character Antonio Salieri. The musical opened in Paris on September 22, 2009. It was a huge success.
Merwan Rim's first solo song was "Vous." It became available to download on May 2, 2011.
