Michael Clark, born on July 10, 1973, is a well-known American professional boxer. Many people know him by his nickname, "Cold Blood." He has won the IBC lightweight boxing title twice. Michael also held other important titles, including the NABF and WBC Continental Americas lightweight championships. He even challenged for the WBO lightweight title during his career.

Michael Clark's Boxing Journey
Early Life and Starting Boxing
Michael grew up in Columbus, Ohio. He started boxing when he was just 7 years old. He quickly became very good in amateur boxing matches. His boxing coach, Matthew Voltolini, adopted him as his son when Michael was 12.
Turning Professional
In 1992, when Michael was 19, he won the National Golden Gloves Featherweight title. After that, he competed in the U.S. Olympic trials but lost in the semifinals. Soon after, Michael decided to become a professional boxer.
He had an amazing start to his professional career, winning 24 fights in a row over his first six years. His first loss came from Artur Grigorian in a fight for the WBO lightweight title.
Appearing on Contender Season 2
Michael Clark was also featured on the ESPN reality show Contender Season 2. He volunteered to be the captain of the Gold Team. He was also the first boxer from his team to step into the ring.
In his fight on the show, he faced Cornelius Bundrage. Michael was knocked down in the final round of the five-round match. He lost the fight by a majority decision.
