Michio Yasuda was born on November 10, 1949. After finishing his studies at Fukuoka University, he joined a professional football club called Nippon Steel in 1972. This club played in the Japan Soccer League, which was the top football league in Japan at that time.
Yasuda played for Nippon Steel for many years. He was a dedicated goalkeeper for the team. He played in 155 games in the league during his career. He retired from playing professional football in 1980.
