About Mike Dumbleton
Mike Dumbleton moved to Australia in 1972. He spent many years working as a teacher, helping young students learn and grow. His first book for kids, Dial-a-Croc, came out in 1991. Later, in 2006, Mike moved to New York City to teach there. He lived and worked in New York for nine years. After that, he came back to South Australia.

One of Mike Dumbleton's picture books, Cat, was turned into a play! This happened in 2007. The play was created by Windmill Performing Arts after Cat won the "Picture Book to Performance Project". Before becoming a play, Cat had already won an Honours award from the Children's Book Council of Australia in 2008.
