Milena Balsamo was born on January 26, 1961, in Bologna, Italy. She is a famous Italian Paralympic athlete.
Milena competed in wheelchair racing, focusing on sprint events. She took part in two big events: the 1984 Summer Paralympics and the 1988 Summer Paralympics in Seoul. She won a total of five medals, with four of them coming from team relay races.
In 2015, Milena received a special award called the Collare d'oro for sporting merit. This award is given by the Italian National Olympic Committee to top athletes in Italy.
