Milira Jones (born September 27, 1969), known as Milira, is an American R&B and soul singer. She was born in Hollis, New York. Milira released several albums starting in the 1990s. Some of her songs became popular on the R&B music charts.

About Milira

Milira Jones grew up in Hollis, New York. When she was younger, she won a talent show at the famous Apollo Theater. This win helped her get a music deal with Apollo Records. This record label worked with Motown Records, a very well-known music company. Milira was inspired by the famous jazz singer Sarah Vaughan.

Her Music Journey

Milira released her first album, Milira, on June 15, 1990. This album was quite successful. It stayed on the Billboard R&B albums chart for many weeks. Two songs from this album became popular R&B hits. These were "Go Outside in the Rain" and "Mercy Mercy Me (The Ecology)". The song "Mercy Mercy Me" was a cover of a Marvin Gaye song.

On June 9, 1992, Milira released her next album, Back Again!!!. Two songs from this album, "One Man Woman" and "Three's a Crowd", also appeared on the R&B charts. Later, in 2000, Milira released her third album called Solution. This album had a mix of Christian, gospel, R&B, and soul music. She released it on her own record label, Arilim Records.
