Early Life and Education
Miriam Leone grew up in Acireale, a town in Italy. Her father was a literature teacher, and her mother worked for the local government. Miriam also has a younger brother named Sergio. She went to a classical high school and later started studying literature and philosophy at the University of Catania. However, she did not finish her university studies.

Becoming Miss Italia
Miriam Leone first joined the Miss Italia contest in 2008. She was initially eliminated from the competition. However, she was later brought back into the show. Miriam then went on to win the main title of Miss Italia 2008. She also won the "Miss Cinema" award. This special award came with a scholarship from the Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute.
Hosting TV Shows
After winning Miss Italia, Miriam started working in television. From June to September 2009, she co-hosted a show called Unomattina estate on Rai 1. She also appeared as a judge on Ciak! Si Canta in 2010. Since 2010, Miriam has been a co-host for Mattina in famiglia. In 2011, she hosted the Nastro d'Argento award ceremony.
