Misty was a popular weekly comic magazine from the United Kingdom. It was made for girls and published by Fleetway in London. The first issue came out on February 4, 1978. It ran until January 12, 1980.
After that, Misty joined forces with another comic called Tammy. Their combined magazine was known as Tammy and Misty for a while. This lasted until September 1981. Even after the weekly comic stopped, special summer and holiday editions were released. There were also eight yearly books, called annuals, published until 1986.

The Spooky World of Misty Comics
Misty was full of different kinds of stories. It had both single, complete stories and longer stories that continued over several issues. Most of these stories were about four pages long.
What Made Misty Special?
While Misty was similar to other comics from its publisher, Fleetway, like Tammy and Jinty, it had its own special focus. Misty was known for its spooky and scary stories. It focused on tales about the supernatural and horror.
Stories with a Twist
Many of the single stories in Misty featured characters who caused trouble. These characters often faced strange or fantastic punishments for their actions. It was a way to show that bad deeds could have surprising consequences.
Text Stories and Ghost Tales
Besides the comic strips, Misty also included text stories. At first, these were brand new stories. Later, they changed to retellings of famous British ghost stories. Some of these ghost stories were even sent in by the readers themselves!
