Mitsuru Komaeda, born on April 14, 1950, is a famous Japanese football player and manager. He played for Japan's national football team. He also managed several football clubs during his career.

Playing Career: A Football Star
Mitsuru Komaeda was born in Iwate Prefecture, Japan. After finishing his studies at Osaka University of Commerce, he started his professional football career.
Joining Fujita Industries
In 1973, Komaeda joined a football club called Towa Real Estate. This club later changed its name to Fujita Industries. He played as a forward and midfielder.
Winning Championships
During his time with Fujita Industries, Komaeda helped his team win many important titles. They won the Japan Soccer League three times: in 1977, 1979, and 1981. The team also won the Emperor's Cup twice, in 1977 and 1979.
Retirement from Playing
Komaeda played 178 games in the league and scored 18 goals. He was recognized as one of the best players, being chosen for the "Best Eleven" team five times. He retired from playing football in 1982.
National Team Career
Mitsuru Komaeda also played for the Japan national football team. This is the highest level of football in Japan.
First Game for Japan
On August 10, 1976, Komaeda played his first game for the Japan national team. It was against Indonesia. He made a great start by scoring two goals in that match!

Starting at Fujita Industries
He started coaching at his former club, Fujita Industries, which later became Bellmare Hiratsuka. He worked hard and was promoted to manager in 1990.
Success as a Manager
In 1993, Komaeda led Bellmare Hiratsuka to win the Japan Football League. This victory helped the club move up to the top league, the J1 League. He managed the team until 1995.
Later Coaching Roles
Komaeda returned to manage Bellmare Hiratsuka again in August 1999. However, the team finished last that season and moved down to the J2 League. He left the club in 2000. In 2001, he joined another team called YKK as a coach. He became their manager in 2003.
