Mohammed Karim (born in 1896, died in 1972) was a very important Egyptian filmmaker. He was a talented film director, a creative writer, and a smart producer. He helped shape the early days of Egyptian movies.
One of his biggest achievements was helping the famous actress Faten Hamama become well-known. He worked with her on the movie Yawm Said. His film Dunia, made in 1946, was even shown at the famous 1946 Cannes Film Festival. This was a big deal for Egyptian cinema!
