Molly's Falls Pond State Park is a large state park in Vermont. It covers about 1,064 acres of land. The park is found in the towns of Cabot and Marshfield.

The main feature of the park is Molly's Falls Pond. This is a 411-acre reservoir, which is a big lake made by people. It is also known as Marshfield Reservoir. This park is a place for day visits only. It is not developed with many buildings or facilities.

At the northwest side of the park, there is a special area. Here, you can find a concrete ramp for boats. There are also two platforms for fishing from the shore. This makes it a great spot for fishing and boating.

History of Molly's Falls Pond State Park

The large pond at the park, Molly's Falls Pond, was created a long time ago. This happened in the late 1920s. A company called Molly's Falls Electric, Light and Power Company built it.

They built a dam and other buildings to make electricity. This electricity was used for the nearby Marshfield area. The pond helped power homes and businesses.

In 2012, a group called the Vermont Land Trust bought most of the land. They bought 1,029 acres from Green Mountain Power. This was done so the state could eventually own the land. Green Mountain Power kept 23 acres. This smaller part includes the dam and the original power buildings.

Then, in 2015, the Vermont Department of Forests, Parks and Recreation bought the property. They bought it from the Vermont Land Trust. They used money from a federal program called the Forest Legacy Program. This helped turn the land into a state park for everyone to enjoy.
