Exploring the Park's Forests
The park is home to different kinds of forests. Each type grows at a different height on the mountain.
Dry Forests in the Lowlands
In the lower parts of the park, you'll find tropical dry forests. The plants here are used to less rain. They have special ways to survive during dry seasons.
Moist Forests at Mid-Elevations
As you go higher up the mountain, the air becomes more humid. Here, you'll see moist forests. These forests get more rain and have many different types of plants.
Cloud Forests on the Peaks
Even higher up, you'll enter montane forests and cloud forests. These cloud forests are often covered in mist and clouds. This makes them look magical and helps many unique plants and animals thrive.
