Montague is a small, unincorporated community located in the state of Missouri, U.S.. An "unincorporated community" means it's a place where people live, but it doesn't have its own local government like a city or town.

Montague once had its own post office. This post office opened in 1905. However, it only stayed open for a few years, closing its doors in 1908. The reason for the name "Montague" is not known. It remains a bit of a mystery!
Where is Montague Located?
This community is found in the western part of Christian County. It is situated right next to a waterway called Tory Creek. Montague is also located to the west of a town named Highlandville.
