Becoming an Actor
Mosharraf Karim started his acting journey in the late 1980s. He joined a theatre group called Nattokendro. For 16 years, he played main characters in many theatre plays. This helped him become a skilled actor.
In 1989, Mosharraf Karim took part in an audition. Out of 1400 people, only 25 were chosen to work in theatre, and he was one of them! After more than ten years on stage, he started acting on television. His first TV show was a single episode play called Atithi in 1999. It was shown on Channel I. Since 2005, he has been a regular face on TV. Around that time, he changed his name from Mosharraf Hossain to Mosharraf Karim. He took "Karim" from his father's name.
