Naohiro Tamura was born in Tokushima, Japan, on July 3, 1978. He started playing football in high school and then continued at Momoyama Gakuin University.
Starting His Professional Career
In July 2000, while still a university student, Naohiro joined Gamba Osaka. This club plays in the J1 League, which is the top professional football league in Japan. However, he did not get to play in any official matches for Gamba Osaka during his time there until 2002.
Moving to Sagan Tosu
In July 2002, Naohiro moved to Sagan Tosu, a club in the J2 League. This is the second-highest professional league in Japan. At Sagan Tosu, he played in many matches as a midfielder during 2002. However, in 2003, he did not play as often.
Playing for Ehime FC
In 2004, Naohiro joined Ehime FC, which was part of the Japan Football League at the time. This league is a step below the J2 League. He played in a few matches for Ehime FC and scored one goal.
