Natalia Maria Kukulska (born March 3, 1976) is a famous Polish singer. She sings pop and R&B music, and later started making electronic music. Natalia began her singing career as a child in 1986.

Some of her most popular songs include "Dłoń", "Piosenka światłoczuła", "Im więcej ciebie tym mniej", "W biegu", "Tyle słońca w całym mieście", and "Wierność jest nudna". By 2014, she had sold over 1.8 million albums!

Early Life and Family

Natalia Kukulska was born in Warsaw, Poland, on March 3, 1976. Her mother was the very popular singer Anna Jantar, who sadly passed away in a plane crash in 1980. Her father was the well-known composer Jarosław Kukulski. He wrote songs for many other artists.

Natalia also has a half-brother named Piotr Kukulski from her father's second marriage. She finished high school in Warsaw in 1995.

Natalia's Music Career

Natalia started singing professionally when she was very young, in 1984. In 1986, she released her first album, simply called Natalia. Two songs from this album, "Puszek Okruszek" and "Co powie tata", became very popular.

A year later, she released her second album, Bajki Natalki (which means 'Natalia's Fairy Tales'). This album was a huge success and became the first album in Polish history to receive a platinum record!

Growing Up as a Singer

In 1991, Natalia recorded her first CD of Christmas carols, called Najpiękniejsze kolędy ('The Most Beautiful Christmas Carols'). Later, in 1996, she released her first album for adults, called Światło. Songs like "Dłoń" and "Piosenka światłoczuła" from this album became hits.

In 1997, her album Puls was released. It quickly became a double platinum record! This album featured popular songs like "Im więcej ciebie tym mniej" and "W biegu". She also sang her own version of Barbra Streisand's song "Woman in Love".

Singing for Disney and Movies

Natalia has also lent her voice to movies! In November 1997, she sang "Ani słowa" for the Polish premiere of Walt Disney Studio's animated film Hercules.

In 1998, she recorded Polish versions of songs for the movie Quest for Camelot. She sang "On My Father's Wings" and a duet with Andrzej Piaseczny called "If I Didn't Have You". The movie's producer, David Foster, chose her for these songs.

New Albums and Collaborations

On March 1, 1999, Natalia released her album Autoportret ('Self-portrait'). It included new hits like "Przychodzimy tylko raz" and "Skończyło się". She also recorded a new version of her mother Anna Jantar's hit song "Tyle słońca w całym mieście".

In 2000, an album called Tyle Słoń was released. It was a recording of a special concert dedicated to her mother's memory. Many Polish artists performed with Natalia at this event.

In April 2001, she released the album Tobie. It became a number one hit and earned a Gold Record. One special song on the album, "Z głębi serc", was dedicated to Pope John Paul II.

Theater and TV Appearances

In 2004, Natalia tried acting! She played the main character, Kim, in the musical Miss Saigon at the Roma Musical Theater in Warsaw.

In November 2007, she released another album called Sexi Flexi. It was very popular and received a Gold Record.

Natalia has also appeared on TV. In 2012, she became a coach on the TV show "Bitwa na głosy" (which means 'Battle of the Voices'). In 2016, she was a coach on the seventh season of "The Voice of Poland".

In 2018, she released the album Search in Dreams. This album featured lullabies with lyrics by the musician Vladimir Vysotsky. It even won a Fryderyk award for "album of the year (music for children and youth)".

Natalia's Personal Life

Natalia Kukulska married musician Michał Dąbrówka in February 2000. They had been together since 1990. They live in Komorów, a town near Warsaw.

Their first child, a son named Jan Dąbrówka, was born on June 24, 2000. On May 4, 2005, they welcomed their second child, a daughter named Anna Dąbrówka, who was named after Natalia's mother.

Natalia's grandmother, Halina Szmeterling, helped raise her after her mother passed away. Mrs. Szmeterling lived with Natalia and her children until she passed away in 2016 at the age of 92.

On January 5, 2017, Natalia gave birth to her third child, another daughter named Laura Dąbrówka.

Helping Others: Charitable Activities

Natalia Kukulska is well-known for her charity work. She has performed many times at the finals of the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity, which raises money for good causes.

• In 1997, she joined other Polish artists to record the song "Moja i Twoja nadzieja" ('My and Your Hope'). The money from this song helped people affected by floods.
• In 2002, she took part in the "Cała Polska czyta Dzieciom" ('All Poland Reads to Children') campaign. She read a fairy tale to her son and recorded a song and video called "Wspomnienia są blisko" ('Memories are near').
• In 2005, she helped record the anthem for the TVN foundation, "Nie jesteś sam" ('You are not alone').
• In 2006, she started the "Konwój Muszkieterów" ('Musketeers' Convoy') campaign. She recorded a special CD to raise money for Christmas gifts for children in orphanages. She also visited orphanages herself to deliver gifts.
• Since April 2007, Natalia has been a UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador. She helps promote campaigns like "School for Africa" to build schools in places like Angola.
• Since 2012, she has also been an active ambassador for the SOS Children's Villages Association, which helps children in need.
