Yaniv "Nev" Schulman, born on September 26, 1984, is an American TV host and producer. He is famous for the 2010 documentary film Catfish. He also hosts and produces the TV show Catfish: The TV Show on MTV.

Nev Schulman's Early Life
Nev Schulman was born in New York City. He grew up in a Jewish family. He has an older brother named Ariel Schulman, who is also a filmmaker and actor.
Nev started taking pictures and got into photography after studying dance for five years. He went to Sarah Lawrence College from 2004 to 2006, where he studied photography and dance.
Nev Schulman's Career Journey
When Nev was 19, he and his brother Ariel started a company that made films and took photos. In 2004, Nev began photographing dance. He became involved with the modern ballet community in New York City. He also helped start the Young Leadership Committee for a youth group called Leave Out Violence.
The Catfish Documentary
In 2010, Nev became the main subject of a documentary film called Catfish. His brother Ariel and their business partner Henry Joost filmed it. The movie showed Nev's journey as he fell in love with a woman he met online. He later found out that she was not exactly who she said she was.
Catfish: The TV Show
In 2012, Nev became the host and a producer for the TV show Catfish: The TV Show on MTV. He worked with his filmmaking partner Max Joseph. On the show, Nev helps real-life couples who have fallen in love online but have never met in person. He helps them meet for the first time.
Books and Other Appearances
Nev Schulman wrote a book in 2014 called In Real Life: Love, Lies & Identity in the Digital Age. In his book, he shares stories from his own life and things he learned from working on Catfish.
In 2018, Nev appeared in the movie Nobody's Fool. He played himself in the film, alongside Max Joseph.
On September 2, 2020, it was announced that Nev would be a contestant on the 29th season of Dancing with the Stars. He and his dance partner Jenna Johnson did very well. They finished in second place in the competition.
Nev Schulman's Family Life
Nev Schulman met his wife, Laura Perlongo, on Instagram. He sent her a message and invited her on a date on his motorcycle. They started dating and later got back together after a short break.
Nev and Laura got engaged on May 26, 2016. Their first child, a daughter named Cleo James, was born on October 21, 2016. Nev and Laura got married on July 22, 2017.
On January 9, 2019, they welcomed their second child, a son named Beau Bobby Bruce. Their third child, a son named Cy Monroe, was born on September 25, 2021.
