New Boston is a small community in Lee County, Iowa, United States. It's called an "unincorporated community." This means it doesn't have its own local government like a city or town.
New Boston is located in the southeastern part of Iowa. You can find it along U.S. Highway 218. It is southwest of Fort Madison, Iowa, which is the main city in Lee County. Other nearby communities include Argyle, Iowa and Charleston, Iowa.
This area is part of a larger region called the Fort Madison-Keokuk Micropolitan Statistical Area. Even though it's a small place, New Boston is home to the Liberty Baptist Church. There are no other businesses in the community.
History of New Boston

In 1902, about 56 people lived in New Boston. By 1925, the population had become smaller, with only 26 residents. However, by 1940, the number of people living there grew to 100.
