New Hope is a small place in Ohio, United States. It's an unincorporated community, which means it's not an official city or town with its own local government. Instead, it's part of a larger area called Jackson Township in Preble County.
You can find New Hope about 2.5 miles (4 km) east of Campbellstown. It's also about 5 miles (8 km) northwest of Eaton. This community is part of the larger Dayton area, which is a group of cities and towns. Students living in New Hope usually attend National Trail High School.
History of New Hope
New Hope was first planned and settled in the year 1841. A few years later, in 1844, a post office was opened in the community. This post office was called Upshur. It helped people send and receive mail for many years. The Upshur post office stayed open until 1906.
