Nico Liersch (born July 17, 2000) is a German actor. He is best known for his role as Rudy Steiner in the 2013 film The Book Thief. He also acted in the German TV series Das ist Gut, where he played Phillip Greenyard, a caveman.

Nico's Acting Career

Nico started acting when he was seven years old. His first role was in a McDonald's Happy Meal commercial in 2007. In 2008, he had a small part in a TV movie called Der Einsturz.

In 2012, Nico appeared in episodes of popular German TV series like Inga Lindström and Das Traumhotel. He also acted in the movie Kokowääh 2, which was a sequel to another film called Kokowääh.

Playing Rudy Steiner in The Book Thief

In February 2013, Nico was chosen for a big role in the movie The Book Thief. This film was based on a very popular book. Nico played Rudy Steiner, who was the best friend of the main character, Liesel Meminger.

The author of the book, Markus Zusak, was very happy with Nico's acting. He said, "He's magnificent, indeed. He is Rudy." This shows how well Nico brought the character to life on screen.
