Nikolaos "Nikos" Oikonomopoulos (Greek: Νικόλαος Νίκος Οικονομόπουλος; born on June 30, 1984) is a famous Greek singer. He became well-known after winning the Greek talent show Dream Show – The Music 2. Nikos Oikonomopoulos is considered one of the most popular male singers in Greece today, with many successful albums.

His Early Life and Start in Music
Nikos Oikonomopoulos was born on June 30, 1984, in Patra, Greece. He grew up in a smaller town nearby called Kato Achaia. From a young age, Nikos loved to sing. He performed in different cities, first in the Peloponnese area and then in Northern Greece. Before becoming a famous singer, he also worked as a fisherman and in a pizzeria. In December 2006, he won the reality TV show Dream Show – The Music 2 on Alpha TV, which launched his music career.
First Albums and Growing Fame
Nikos Oikonomopoulos released his first studio album, Proti Agapi (First Love), on November 15, 2007. This album included popular songs like "Ola Gia Sena" ("Everything For You") and "Afto To Asteri" ("This Star").
In June 2008, he won the "Best New Artist" award at the MAD Video Music Awards. Later that year, he released his second album, Akousa… (I Heard), which quickly became a gold record.
He continued to gain awards, winning "Best Contemporary Laiko Video Clip" in June 2009 for his song "Ola Gia Sena." In December 2009, Nikos released Katathesi Psihis (Testimony of my Soul). This album was very successful and earned a platinum certification. It featured many hit songs such as "Ti Tha Kano Me Sena" ("What Am I Going To Do With You") and "Enas Theos Kserei" ("Only God Knows").
Around this time, Nikos Oikonomopoulos signed with Minos EMI, a major music label. On December 3, 2010, he released his fourth album, Doro Gia Sena (A Present For You). This album was incredibly popular, becoming triple platinum in 2011.
Continued Success with New Hits
In December 2011, Nikos released the album Tha Eimai Edo (I Will Be Here). This album also had many big hits like "Kai Ti Egine" ("So What") and "Exartimenos" ("Addict"). It quickly became double platinum. During this period, he performed at popular venues with other famous Greek singers.
In September 2012, Tha Eimai Edo reached four times platinum status, showing its huge popularity. That same year, he released another album called Ennoeitai (It's Understood), which was certified double platinum.
On December 6, 2013, Nikos Oikonomopoulos released Eilikrina (Sincerely). This album included several successful songs such as "Exaitias Sou" ("Because of You") and "Mi Figeis Tora" ("Do Not Leave Now"). By December 16, Eilikrina had gone double platinum, and Ennoeitai had reached four times platinum.
Recent Albums and Popular Songs
In 2014, Nikos Oikonomopoulos continued to perform and release new music. On November 17, 2014, he released his eighth album, Gia Hilious Logous (Because of Thousand Reasons). The songs "Pote" ("Never") and "Gia Hilious Logous" from this album were very popular, and the album achieved four times platinum status in Greece.
In 2015, he introduced a new song called "An Ponas" ("If You Suffer"). This song was the first hit from his next album, Ena Mikrofono Ki Ego (One Microphone And I), which came out on December 17. This album also became multiplatinum in Greece.
In October 2017, Nikos released the song "Gia Kapoio Logo" ("For Some Reason"). This song became one of the most watched Greek songs on YouTube. His most recent album, 10, was released on December 8, 2017.
