Nirapara is a popular brand from India. It makes different kinds of rice and spice powders. The KKR Group owns this brand. Nirapara started in 1976 in Kerala, India. Recently, a big company called Wipro Consumer Care bought Nirapara.

The Story of Nirapara

The KKR Group began in 1976. It was started by K. K. Karnan. He opened a small rice mill factory. This factory was in a town called Okkal in Kalady, near Kochi.

Over time, K. K. Karnan made his rice mill much bigger and more modern. He brought all the different products under one name: Nirapara. This made Nirapara a well-known food brand in South India.

Today, Nirapara products are sent from Kerala to many other countries. You can find them in 32 countries. These include the US, the UK, Canada, and countries in Asia.

What Nirapara Makes

Nirapara creates many different food products. Their main items are rice, wheat flour products, and spice powders. They also make things like pickles, frozen foods (especially for export), and ready-to-eat meals.

All About Rice

Nirapara offers many types of rice. First, the rice is dried. Then, the husk is removed. After that, it goes through special processing. Finally, it is packaged for sale.

Some of the rice types include matta rice, idly rice, ponni rice, and jeerakasala rice. They also have surekha, jaya rice, cherumani, and single boiled rice.

Flour Power!

Nirapara also makes different kinds of flour. These flours are used to make traditional foods from Kerala. You can use them for dishes like chappathi, upma, appam, palappam, and puttu. They are also great for dosa and idiyappam.

Spices and Curry Mixes

To make cooking easier, Nirapara created the Nirapara Curry Masala brand. They offer many different spices and curry powders. These are processed and packaged. This helps people make tasty Indian curries at home.
