Noice is a Swedish rock band that started in Gustavsberg in 1977. They became very famous in the early 1980s for their catchy songs about being a teenager.
The band began in the 1970s when friends Peo Thyrén (bass guitar), Freddie Hansson (keyboards), and Robert Klasen (drums) started playing music. Later, Hasse Carlsson (lead singer and guitar) and Robert Liman (guitar) joined them. In 1977, they changed their name to Noice.

How Noice Became Famous
Noice won a talent show, which helped them get a record deal with Sonet. In 1979, they released their first album, Tonårsdrömmar (which means "Teenage Dreams"). It had a punk rock sound.
Their Big Break on TV
The band became super popular after they performed two songs on a TV show called Måndagsbörsen in March 1980. At that time, the lead singer, Hasse Carlsson, was only 15 years old! None of the band members were older than 18. Their first album sold 100,000 copies in Sweden. They quickly released a second album, Bedårande barn av sin tid, in the same year, 1980.
Noice vs. Gyllene Tider
Noice was very successful at the same time as another popular Swedish band, Gyllene Tider. People often compared the two bands. There was even a vote in a newspaper called Expressen to see which band was more popular.
Changes in the Band
The original members of Noice stopped playing together in 1982. Hasse Carlsson, the lead singer, decided to start a solo music career. However, Noice has gotten back together many times since then with different members.
