About Nora O'Mahoney's Life and Career
Nora O'Mahoney was born in Dublin, Ireland, in 1912. She began her acting career in theatre during the 1930s and 1940s. She performed in many plays, including Drama at Inish (1933) and Le Bourgeois Gentilhomme (1941). Nora also started appearing in movies, though her early roles were often uncredited. This means her name was not shown in the film's credits. Some of these films were Captain Boycott (1947) and Daughter of Darkness (1948).

In 1959, she played a character named Molly Malloy in two different productions: the movie Darby O'Gill and the Little People and an episode of Walt Disney's Wonderful World of Color.
After these roles, Nora took a break from acting. She worked as a lay missionary in Rhodesia (now Zimbabwe). She was a secretary for Bishop Lamont for several years. She later became ill and returned home to Ireland.
When she came back to Ireland, Nora started acting again. She first did voice work for shows like Newsbeat. Then, she got the famous role of Godmother in the children's TV show Wanderly Wagon, which ran from 1967 to 1982. Her last TV appearance was as Mrs. Hodnott in an episode of The Irish R.M..
