Norma-Jean Wofford (born around 1942 – died April 30, 2005) was an American guitarist. She played with the famous musician Bo Diddley and his band. She was a key part of his group from 1962 to 1966.

Norma-Jean was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. She became Bo Diddley's second female guitarist. She took the place of Peggy Jones, also known as Lady Bo. Fans were sad when Peggy Jones left the band.

To make fans happy, Bo Diddley hired Norma-Jean. He gave her the nickname "The Duchess." He also taught her how to play rhythm guitar. Bo Diddley even told people that Norma-Jean was his sister. But they were not actually related.

Norma-Jean played guitar and sang in the band. She performed with Gloria Morgan and Lily "Bee Bee" Jamieson. Together, they were known as the Bo-ettes.

Norma-Jean Wofford was known for her cool stage outfits. She appeared on many of Bo Diddley's album covers. These included Bo Diddley & Company and Bo Diddley's Beach Party. She was also on Hey! Good Lookin', 500% More Man, and The Originator.

In 1966, Norma-Jean got married. Her name became Norma-Jean Richardson. She decided to leave the band to start a family. She moved to Florida to raise her children.

Norma-Jean Wofford passed away in Fontana, California in 2005. She was 63 years old.

Bo Diddley spoke about her passing. He said, "Norma-Jean was my first sidekick." He meant she was his close partner. He added, "We did everything together. She was like family." This is why he told everyone she was his sister.

Bo Diddley shared how much he missed her. He said, "There was no one else like her." He was happy they saw each other again. She surprised him at a show in California the year before she died. He was glad they had that time together.
