Many people live in Yosemite. It has its own local school for students. There is also a cafe where people can grab a bite to eat. You can find several parks and a community garden in the area.

A Look at Yosemite's Past
Yosemite started to develop in the early 1900s. More and more people have moved in since then. Today, there is not much empty land left for new buildings.
Yosemite used to have its own post office. The Yosemite Valley Post Office opened on May 14, 1928. It closed down in 1956. Today, there is an Australia Post mail delivery center on Minni Ha Ha Road.
Exploring the Bush Tracks
To the north of Yosemite, there are many kilometers of bush tracks. These tracks were once very popular. People used them for horse riding and motorbike riding.
However, the local council has since changed the rules. Now, only bushwalkers are allowed on these tracks. This helps protect the natural environment.
