Kingman, Ohio facts for kids
Kingman is a small place located in Clinton County, in the U.S. state of Ohio. It's known as an unincorporated community. This means it doesn't have its own local government like a city or a town. Instead, it's part of the larger county that provides services. A nearby place called North Kingman is also a populated area in the same region.
History
Kingman began to grow when a railroad line was built through the area. The arrival of the railroad made it easier for people and goods to travel. This often helped small communities develop.
A post office was opened in Kingman in 1894. This was an important service for the people living there, allowing them to send and receive mail. The post office operated for about 11 years, closing in 1905.
