Where is 9 de Julio?

The main village of Nueve de Julio is located on a road that starts and ends on Provincial Route 17. This road connects the village to Eldorado in the west and Santiago de Liniers in the east. It eventually leads to the only land crossing between Argentina and Brazil, which is at Bernardo de Irigoyen.

The main way to get to the village is by a paved road that links it to "Kilometer 20" of Provincial Route 17. Interestingly, the main government office for the municipality is not in the original village. It's in a newer area called Nueve de Julio Kilometer 20. This newer area has become quite important.

How Many People Live There?

In 2001, Nueve de Julio village had 410 people living there. This was a small decrease from 457 people in 1991.

However, the nearby area of Nueve de Julio Kilometer 20 grew a lot! In 2001, it had 1,224 people. This means Kilometer 20 had almost three times more people than the original village.

What is the Economy Like?

The main way the municipality grows is through the forestry industry. This means they work with trees and wood. Many sawmills, which are places where logs are cut into timber, are located here. They were built in smart places, especially along Route 19, because this road helps them connect with other countries for trade.

Another town in this municipality is Valle Hermoso. It is located about 2 miles north of Route 19.
