Nyanga is one of the nine provinces that make up the country of Gabon. Gabon is located in Central Africa. The main city and capital of Nyanga province is Tchibanga.
Nyanga province is found in the southern part of Gabon. It covers a large area of about 21,285 square kilometers. This is roughly the size of a small country. According to the 2013 census, about 52,854 people live in Nyanga.
What is a Province?
A province is like a big region or state within a country. It has its own local government and helps manage different areas. These areas include things like schools, roads, and local services. Nyanga is one of the most important provinces in Gabon.
Departments of Nyanga
Just like a country has provinces, a province can be divided into smaller parts called departments. Nyanga province is split into six different departments. Each department has its own main town or capital city.

- Douigni Department Its capital city is Moabi.

- Mougoutsi Department Its capital city is Tchibanga, which is also the capital of the whole Nyanga province.
