Obeng Tabi Amponsah, born on October 28, 2000, is a Canadian professional soccer player. He plays as a left back for FC Laval in Ligue1 Québec.

Early Life and Youth Soccer
Obeng Tabi started playing soccer when he was young. He played for a youth team called FS Salaberry. In 2019, he joined the U21 (under 21) team of CS St-Laurent in the LSEQ. Later, in 2021, he played at a higher amateur level in the LSEQ with CS Étoiles de l'Est.
College Soccer Journey
Tabi played college soccer in the United States for Louisiana State University Eunice. He played there in 2020 and 2021. In 2021, during his second year, he was recognized as an NJCAA Third Team All-American. This was because he helped his team by making three assists in 14 games.
In 2024, Obeng Tabi returned to Canada to attend Concordia University. There, he joined the university's men's soccer team, known as the Concordia Stingers.
Professional Club Career
Starting with HFX Wanderers FC
In January 2022, Obeng Tabi signed a professional contract with HFX Wanderers FC. This team plays in the Canadian Premier League, which is a top soccer league in Canada. He made his first professional appearance in the very first game of the season against York United. In that game, he made a big play by stopping a clear scoring chance from the other team. After the season ended, HFX Wanderers FC decided not to extend his contract for 2023.
Playing for CS St-Laurent
In 2023, Tabi joined CS St-Laurent, a team in Ligue1 Québec. It was a very successful year for him and his team. They managed to win both the league championship and the cup in the same season. He continued to play for CS St-Laurent in 2024.
Joining FC Laval
In 2025, Obeng Tabi moved to a new team, FC Laval. He continues his professional soccer career with them.
International Futsal Career
Obeng Tabi has also been involved with the Canada national futsal team. Futsal is a type of indoor soccer played on a hard court. He was invited to training camps with the national futsal team in December 2022 and December 2023. In April 2024, he was chosen to be part of the team for the 2024 CONCACAF Futsal Championship.
