Ogooué-Ivindo is one of the nine main regions, called provinces, in the country of Gabon. Gabon is located in Central Africa. The most important city and capital of Ogooué-Ivindo is Makokou.

This province gets its unique name from two important rivers that flow through it: the Ogooué River and the Ivindo River. These rivers are very important for the nature and people of the region.
