One Tree Point is a small town located on the southern side of Whangārei Harbour in Northland, New Zealand. It's known for its beautiful harbour views and includes the Marsden Point Marina, a popular spot for boats.
History of One Tree Point
One Tree Point got its name "Single Tree Point" from Captain Lort Stokes. He explored the area in 1849 on his ship, the Acheron.
People and Community
One Tree Point is a growing community. In the 2023 New Zealand census, 2,988 people lived here. This was a big increase of 771 people since the 2018 census. The town covers about 2.91 square kilometers.
