How Orson Started
Orson began in 1899. This was when a railroad line was built to reach this spot. The community was named after a person called Orson Pratt Edmonds.
Post Office and Population
A post office opened in Orson in 1900. It helped people send and receive mail for many years. However, the post office closed down in 1957. In 1925, Orson was a very small place. Only about 35 people lived there at that time.
