Oshay Keyona Nelson-Lawes, born on June 27, 1996, is a talented footballer. She plays as a forward, which means she helps score goals for her team. Even though she was born in Canada, she proudly plays for the Jamaica women's national team.

Oshay Nelson-Lawes' Football Journey
Playing in College
Oshay Nelson-Lawes played college soccer while studying. In 2016, she attended Tyler Junior College. She was a fantastic player for their women's soccer team. She scored 20 goals in 24 games. Because of her great performance, she was named a 2016 NJCAA Division I Women's Soccer First Team All-American. This is a special award for top college players.
Later, in 2019, she played for Ryerson University. She appeared in four games for their team.
Playing for Clubs
Oshay has played for several clubs during her career.
- From 2015 to 2017, she played with North Mississauga SC. This team is part of League1 Ontario. In 2015, she was recognized as a League First Team All-Star.
- In 2018, Oshay joined Blue Devils FC's women's team. She was one of the very first players to sign with them. She played for the Blue Devils for two seasons.
- In 2021, she played with the Woodbridge Strikers.
- In 2022, she played for ProStars FC.
Playing for Her Country
Oshay Nelson-Lawes has represented Jamaica at different levels of international football.
- In 2012, she played for the Jamaica U17 team in the 2012 CONCACAF Women's U-17 Championship.
- She also played for the Jamaica U20 team. During the 2014 CONCACAF Women's U-20 Championship qualification tournament, she scored three goals in one game against Bermuda on July 23. She scored another three goals in the next match against Curacao. She also got a hat-trick in the second round of qualifying against St. Kitts and Nevis.
- She was part of the Jamaica U20 team for the 2014 CONCACAF Women's U-20 Championship.
- At the 2015 CONCACAF Women's U-20 Championship, Oshay scored four goals in a single game against Trinidad and Tobago. Jamaica won that game 6-1. Scoring four goals in one match tied a tournament record!
- She made her first appearance for the senior Jamaica women's national team during the 2018 Central American and Caribbean Games.
