Pallathur Venkatachalam Nandhidhaa (born on April 10, 1996) is a talented chess player from Tamil Nadu, India. She holds two important titles in chess: Woman Grandmaster (WGM) and Woman International Master (WIM). She is the 17th Indian woman to become a Woman Grandmaster.
Nandhidhaa has achieved a high FIDE ELO rating of 2380. She has also earned nine International Master norms. In 2024, she became the National Women Chess Champion.
She won a gold medal at the Asian Chess Championship in New Delhi on November 3, 2022. This made her only the 9th Indian woman to win this Asian Gold. She played very well, scoring 7.5 points out of 9 games without losing any. This win also helped her qualify for the Women's Chess World Cup 2023. Nandhidhaa has won many medals, including 7 at Commonwealth and Asian Chess Championships in different age groups. She also has 6 National level Gold medals.

Early Successes
In 2016, Nandhidhaa won a silver medal at the Under-20 World Junior Chess Championship in Bhubaneswar, India. Before that, in 2010, she earned a bronze medal at the Under-14 World Youth Chess Championship in Greece.
Team Achievements
In October 2020, Nandhidhaa was part of the Indian women's chess team. The team won the gold medal at the Asian Nations Online Chess Championship. This event was organized by FIDE, and 31 Asian countries took part.

- Nandhidhaa won a Gold Medal in the women's category at the 50th Rilton Cup. She was named the best woman chess player and earned her fifth International Master norm.
- She won a Gold medal at the Asian Chess Championship in New Delhi. She did not lose any games and qualified for the Women's Chess World Cup 2023.
- She played for India's Women Team C at the 44th Chess Olympiad in Chennai. She scored 8.5 points out of 11 rounds.
2021 Successes
- Nandhidhaa shared first place at the 47th La Roda International Open in Spain. No woman had ever shared first place or finished in the top three at this event before.
- She received the "Best Sportsperson of the year" award from the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu.

In 2023, she was honored by Chief Minister M. K. Stalin and Sports Minister Udhayanidhi Stalin for her individual Gold medal performance at the Asian Chess Championship 2022. In 2021, Chief Minister M. K. Stalin also honored her for becoming India's 17th Woman Grandmaster.
She received the "Best Sportsperson of the year" award from Chief Minister Edappadi K. Palaniswami in 2021. In 2017, Chief Minister Edappadi K. Palaniswami also honored her for winning a Silver Medal at the 34th World Junior Chess Championship in 2016.
