PC World (also known as PCWorld) is a well-known computer magazine. It used to be printed every month by a company called IDG. Since 2013, you can only find PC World online.
This magazine helps people learn about PCs and other cool tech. It gives advice on using the internet and other digital gadgets. PC World also tests and reviews new computer parts and programs. They look at things like cameras, video devices, and audio gear.

The Story of PC World
How PC World Started
PC World was first announced in November 1982. The very first magazine came out in March 1983. It was started by David Bunnell and Cheryl Woodard. Andrew Fluegelman was its first editor.
Over the years, PC World has won many awards. These awards are for its great articles and website. It's even been a finalist for a National Magazine Award. This is a big honor for magazines.
Famous Writers and Editors
Many famous tech writers have written for PC World. Some of them include Steve Bass, John C. Dvorak, and Lincoln Spector. Many talented editors have also led the magazine. These include Harry Miller and Harry McCracken.
Growing Popularity
In February 1999, PC World reached a big milestone. It had over one million paid subscribers! This made it the first computer magazine to do so. In 2005, a TV show called Digital Duo became PC World's Digital Duo. It ran for 26 more episodes. By 2006, PC World was the biggest computer magazine in the world. It had 750,000 subscribers.
Moving to Digital Only
On July 10, 2013, the company IDG made a big announcement. They said PC World would stop printing its magazine. The August 2013 issue was the last one printed. Now, PC World is only available online.
